About Townsend VFW Post 6538

Founded in 1946, the Townsend VFW and the Townsend VFW Auxiliary have been supporting veterans of foreign wars for over 75 years.
Our mission is to support United States veterans of overseas conflicts across all generations. We foster camaraderie among those who have served, offer support to their families, and serve our local communities.
The Townsend VFW is part of the Townsend Veterans Council, which also includes the DAV North Middlesex Chapter 122 and the American Legion, Post 199

The post, located at 491a Main Street in West Townsend, includes a family-friendly lounge, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Live music events are often held here - check our calendar for details!
Members, their families and community members are welcome in the lounge. Smoking and vaping are not allowed.
A function hall is available to rent for your event, and throughout the year, several community-oriented events are held here.
Officers
Officers of the Townsend VFW are elected to one-year terms by the membership. Elected individuals work on a volunteer basis, generously donating their time to ensure the smooth operation of the post.
